MES - Production Indicators
Manufacturing Execution System - Manufacturing Execution System
Sequor Digital Solutions' MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is a manufacturing execution system that connects the factory floor in real time, managing orders, components, stops, quality and performance.
Automatically collects data from machines, controls production and calculates indicators such as OEE, availability, performance and quality, ensuring precision, standardization and fact-based decisions.
With a modern interface and modular architecture, Sequor MES increases operational efficiency, reduces losses and provides total visibility of everything that happens.
Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) - Measures the overall effectiveness of equipment considering Availability, Performance and Quality
See how the OEEcalculation is done:
A - Actual Production Time: Time that was actually dedicated to production.
B - Total Availability Time: Time that the machine was available to produce, considering maintenance stops, quality and obsolescence.
C - Actual Production:Quantity that was actually produced.
D - Ideal Production: Quantity that should have been produced (without loss of performance, reduced speed and equipment).
E - Quality Products: Products that came out without defects.
F - Actual Production: Quantity produced, considering quality losses, rework in production.
The Great Production Losses
OEE captures the main dimensions of loss that harm efficiency:
Availability Time: Unplanned stops, emergency maintenance
Loss of Performance: Speed below capacity, micro-stops
Loss of Quality: Defective products, rework
MES complementary indicators
Cycle Time: Average time needed to produce a unit, helping to identify production bottlenecks.
Production Lead Time: Total time from order issuance to completion, including setup, production and movement.
Production vs. Plan: Directly compares the volume produced with the plan, identifying deviations.
Setup Time: Time required to change or prepare equipment for different operations.
MES transforms raw data into operational intelligence, allowing managers and teams to understand exactly where opportunities for improvement lie and how to maximize production performance.
